Chiz and Heart Wedding Photos

Senator Chiz Escudero and actress Heart Evangelista got married February 15, 2015 at Balesin Spa, Balesin Island in Quezon Province.

Heart, whose real name is Love Marie Ongpauco turned 30 a day before the wedding while Philippine Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero is 45.This is the first for Heart and the second for Chiz, having his first marriage annulled.

The exclusive Balesin Island Resort is located off Quezon province and accessible only by private plane about 25 minutes from Manila. Perhaps due to the distance, some of the principal sponsors begged off and sent representatives.

The bride was very pretty indeed, wearing a wedding gown by Dubai-based international Filipino designer Ezra Santos.

Heart's wedding bouquet is a bunch of lily of the valley, one of the most expensive flowers.It was held together by a photo of her parents on their own wedding day.

Senator Chiz Escudero wore a classic black and white suit by Paul Cabral. He was escorted by his 7-year-old twins from a previous marriage as he walked down the aisle.

A room was reserved at the Balesin Island Resort for her parents Cecilia and Reynaldo Evangelista, but they didn’t show up to give her away to her groom. But Heart bravely walked down the aisle alone, to the tune of “How Did You Know?” – the lyrics (How did you know I needed someone like you in my life…) which, according to Heart, perfectly described her feelings.

Her sisters were present with elder sister Camille as maid of honor and Michelle as one of the women of honor. The bridesmaids were Heart’s friends Jennylyn Mercado, Carla Abellana, Solenn Heussaff, Lovi Poe and Alessandra de Rossi.

The wedding was officiated by Bishop Arturo Bastes of Sorsogon, alond with Fr. Gerry Orbos and Fr. Joseph Roger Erestain.

The wedding reception was held at Toscana Garden at the Toscana Village, also in Balesin. The elegant theme was white flowers with crystals, by Badang Rueda Floral and Styling.
