Pinoy Dream Academy debuted August 27, 2006 and Yeng Constantino bagged the Grand Star Dreamer of this first season. Jay-R Siaboc of Cebu and Ronnie Liang of Pampanga were the runners-up.
After winning, she was launched by Star Records through her debut album entitled "salamat". Yeng wrote seven out of the 10 songs in the album. Two weeks later, it reached Gold Record status, followed by Platinum and 3x Platinum after several months. Her second album, "Journey" contained 12 tracks, some of which were written also by Yeng. Her third album is "Lapit" which also reached Platinum status. Her fourth album is entitled "Yeng Version Live" which featured OPM hits from the 80's and 90's. In 2013, Yeng released her fifth album entitled "Metamorphosis".
Yeng now celebrates her 8th year in showbiz, via her success at the Pinoy Dream Academy show, which is teh Philippine edition of Endemol's "Star Academy". Today, she is among the most successful recording artists in the Philippines. Congratulations!

| yengconstantino 8 years na po today simula ng manalo ako sa Pinoy Dream Academy. 8 years in the showbiz industry at masasabi ko pong napakabuti talaga ng Dyos sa buhay ko. Salamat sa mga magulang ko na grabe ang binunong oras, pagod at suporta para samahan ko sa lahat ng mga singing contests na sinalihan ko. Maraming salamat sa mga kapatid ko na naging una kong ka-kumpetisyon sa sala ng aming bahay para matrain akong kumanta habang nagvvideoke kame. Salamat sa banda kong @wearemorningglory dahil naging malaking part sila ng pag grow ko sa aking musicality. Salamat kay Jay Lavilles na naging talent agent ko para makapag audition sa PDA. Salamat kay Direk @laurentidyogi at buong Pinoy Dream Acadmey team na unang nagtiwala saking talento! Salamat kay Mr. M and Ms. Mariole at syempre sa aking handler na si Ate Ien at sa buong Star Magic Family ko na umampon sakin Salamat kay Kuya @visionerickson na bumuhay muli ng mga pangarap ko kasama ang buong Cornerstone Talent Management. Salamat aking @asapofficial kina Sir Deo na binigyan ako ng pagkakataon maging parte ng pinakamagandang show sa telebisyon. Maraming salamat sa ABS-CBN at mga boss namin Ms. Charo, Tita Cory and Sir Gaby sa tiwala at ako po ay kapamilya.
