Pinoy Dream Academy debuted August 27, 2006 and Yeng Constantino bagged the Grand Star Dreamer of this first season. Jay-R Siaboc of Cebu and Ronnie Liang of Pampanga were the runners-up.
After winning, she was launched by Star Records through her debut album entitled "salamat". Yeng wrote seven out of the 10 songs in the album. Two weeks later, it reached Gold Record status, followed by Platinum and 3x Platinum after several months. Her second album, "Journey" contained 12 tracks, some of which were written also by Yeng. Her third album is "Lapit" which also reached Platinum status. Her fourth album is entitled "Yeng Version Live" which featured OPM hits from the 80's and 90's. In 2013, Yeng released her fifth album entitled "Metamorphosis".
Yeng now celebrates her 8th year in showbiz, via her success at the Pinoy Dream Academy show, which is teh Philippine edition of Endemol's "Star Academy". Today, she is among the most successful recording artists in the Philippines. Congratulations!
