Goodbye to Willie Revillame's show "Wowowee"

MANILA, Philippines – It’s officially goodbye for Willie Revillame's WOWOWEE, as ABS-CBN decided to replace the popular show starting Saturday, July 31.

In an official statement, ABS-CBN said that “Pilipinas Win Na Win would take the place of “Wowowee.”

“Ang Pilipinas Win Na Win ay papalit sa Wowowee [Pilipinas Win Na Win will replace Wowowee]”

“This is a game and variety show that would give Filipinos happiness and hope wherever they may be,” the network said.

Former “Wowowee” host Willie Revillame has been apparently informed of the development through his manager.

Willie is said to have an upcoming program in place of the defunct Wowowee. Announcements will be given in the days to come.

The new show Pilipinas Win na Win will be hosted by no less than Philippine Queen of Talk and Presidential sister Kris Aquino. She will be joined by rumored sweethearts Robin Padilla and Mariel Rivera, plus former Wowowee hosts Valerie Concepcion and Pokwang.

Pilipinas Win Na Win will be directed by Johnny Manahan and Bobot Mortiz.
