Marian Rivera was saddened that the filming of the proposed Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Nieves" would not push through.
This was reportedly because of health problems of Director Mike Tuviera. According to Marian, she was really looking forward to her MMFF entry since this is the first time that she won't have a movie in the said event. She started with Enteng Kabisote and continued yearly till Desperadas last year.
It was really disappointing for Marian since according to her, everything was put to order, including schedules and casting. She was set to film with Carla Abellana.
Getting another director is out of the question. Apparently, Director Mike Tuviera really worked hard on the concept and would not be happy if another director would handle it.
Marian refused to divulge the details regarding Direk Mike's health condition.
