Who is Ezra Santos?

So for those who are not very much into fashion, you might be wondering who is Ezra Santos?

Ezra Santos

Ezra Santos is one of the UAE-based Filipino designers. He grew up watching fairy tale cartoons and films from the forties. This inspired him to create gorgeously glamorous gowns. "While in Grade 1 in the Philippines, I used to draw a lot and fell in love with Cinderella cartoons. Once back home from school, I used to sit in front of the TV and watch those cartoons for hours on end. Cinderella's party dresses fascinated me. I think that was what made me want to design lavish dresses".
 
The rest is history. He launched his couture label Ezra in 2004. Now celebrating more than 10 years, Ezra Fashion Design is considered one of the major forces and influences in fashion in the Middle East / Gulf Regison. It is unique for its modern classic design sensibility with a twist.

"A long-cherished dream of mine is to bring the Filipino fashion industry into the international arena. It is for this reason that I am keen to continue improving my craft and studying more about design".

Ezra Santos likewise designed the gown worn by Colbie Caillat the 2014 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. Colbie’s red gown was featured a faux-one-shoulder design that had a textural, feather-like detail.
